ABOUT BHOOMIKA VERNEKAR

I am currently working as a Trainee Accessibility Tester at BarrierBreak, where I specialize in conducting manual accessibility audits to ensure websites and digital content meet WCAG and other accessibility standards. In this role, I’ve developed hands-on expertise in using assistive technologies such as screen readers, analyzing semantic HTML structures, identifying accessibility barriers, and providing actionable recommendations to improve digital inclusivity. My journey into accessibility testing builds upon a solid foundation in web development and software engineering. As a Full Stack Developer Intern at TechCentrix, I worked on projects involving HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design, creating dynamic and user-friendly interfaces with a focus on both functionality and user experience. These experiences helped me develop a keen eye for usability, design consistency, and technical precision. Today, I am passionate about leveraging my combined background in development and accessibility testing to contribute to projects that prioritize inclusive, user-centered design. I am eager to continue growing in the field of digital accessibility, advocate for equitable user experiences, and stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in accessible technology.
