Role & Responsibilities Scientific and managerial leadership in scale-up and commercialization of new chemical and process technology. Report results and project(s) status to Technical Head & its team in verbal and written form. Literature, Planning and organizing day-to-day research activities and resolving procedural problems as appropriate to the timely completion of research objectives Development of economical and commercially viable process for aroma intermediates product within time and cost constrains with known and non-infringing methods for regulatory and non-regulatory market. Actively involved in selecting a proper route, arranging the raw materials, handling of chemicals, costing, with component balance and mass balance. Lab administration: Lab resources management including chemicals and other requirements for the lab, instruments maintenance (including installing, fixing and troubleshooting) Monitoring and guiding to team members as well as other colleagues.Research Work Experience Knowledge and experience in Process Development, Multistep organic synthesis, isolation, separation, purification & Fractionation techniques and study of purity and impurity profile. Responsible for conducting research and support activity and actively involved in developing various products and processes. Carried out several types of organic reactions namely Sterically hindered Diol formation, Bromination, Cyclization, Hydrogenation, Hydrolysis, Esterification, Etherification, Trans Aldol condensation & Reduction etc. Handled various catalyst like Ruthenium, Raney Nickel, Platinum and palladium and its derivatives for multiple reactions like isomerization, selective reductions, Selective Hydrogenation etc. Handled reactions in autoclave reactors on lab. Scale (50ml to 5.0litr) & Pilot Plant (100lit & 200litr) Scale Conducting trials in the Pilot plant & Production Plant. Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel.
