About Bhavya Suri

Bhavya is currently working with Shell in the area of Information and Digital Technology. As part of the Low Carbon Solutions Business interface team, he is helping to unlock digital decarbonization pathways for Shell, its customers, and society at large, enabling them to achieve their net-zero objectives in a commercially sustainable way. His responsibilities include evaluating the commercial viability of digital investments, creating and overseeing the execution of the IT/Digital strategy for the business, managing post-M&A IT integration, Program Management and asset digitization, among other things.Having been selected as part of Shell\'s Leadership Program, Bhavya has been exposed to a variety of roles such as Product Manager, Business Advisor to the CIO, and Business Analyst across multiple businesses and functions within Shell. Bhavya has extensive experience working in ambiguous environments with senior stakeholders and has led multiple strategic projects for Shell IT in areas like Information Risk Management, Decarbonisation, Robotic Process Automation etc. Prior to working with Shell, he acquired an MBA from the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi, and worked as a senior ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) developer in the SAP division of Infosys, supporting BFSI clients.

   Built and implemented the portfolio management strategy for the Digital/IT function in Low Carbon Solutions, enabling a structured and value-focused approach to digital investments.Aligned current application/assets to target enterprise solutions and developed multi-year roadmaps against business capabilities- Identified cost takeout opportunities across platforms, contracts, support models and redundant applications- Drove a capability-based portfolio view, shifting stakeholders from organization-based prioritization to business outcomes and digital enablement- Led post-acquisition Application Portfolio Rationalisation for Europe’s largest RNG producer (~200 applications), mapping to L1/L2 capabilities and assessing TCO, TIME, and change impacts- Ran multiple RFIs/RFPs to evaluate vendors and products across sustainability, compliance and cyber managed services; partnered with Procurement to negotiate and close commercial agreements.
