About Bhavya Sharma
I work at the intersection of international higher education, psychology, and career development, helping students in India make informed, values‑aligned decisions about their futures. Over the past 2+ years, I have guided students applying to universities in India and abroad (US, UK, Europe, Singapore), supporting them with subject selection, college shortlisting, applications, and career exploration.With a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from Krea University and experience in qualitative research, peer support, and mental health–oriented programs, I bring a psychology‑informed lens to college counselling—focusing not just on “best‑fit” colleges, but on student wellbeing, motivation, and long‑term growth.In my roles at Mindler and The Red Pen, I have:1. Advised 100+ students (and their families) through 1‑on‑1 counselling on subjects, college choices, and career pathways in India and overseas.2. Built and managed end‑to‑end application journeys for 15+ international applicants, including college lists, essays, resumes, interviews, and deadlines across multiple countries.3. Delivered workshops and webinars on overseas education, liberal arts, and career exploration for school students across India.I’m especially interested in how AI, ethics, and critical thinking are reshaping college admissions and higher education, and I enjoy writing and speaking about these shifts in the counselling ecosystem.

Guided 50+ students from classes 10th and 12th through 1-on-1 sessions involving the parents to help them make informed decisions about subject selection for high school and undergraduate college shortlisting. Facilitated 15+ career guidance sessions by shadowing senior counsellors, gaining exposure to stream selection, college shortlisting (India & abroad), and academic planning Delivered 5+ college preparation and career exploration workshops for students from classes 8-12th in prestigious schools around India including Mayo College Girls School. Supported 25+ students in making informed academic and career decisions, including goal prioritization and higher education exploration. Participated in organising and delivering 2 online webinars along with a team of 4 on topics “ Introduction to Overseas Education”, “East is the New West: The Changing Trends in International Education”, “Liberal Arts College Applications in India” and “ Liberal Education in India: Unlocking new horizons for students”. Partnered with the counseling team to expand our collective knowledge of diverse career pathways and higher education requirements, covering both Indian and international systems.
