My training is at the intersection of Mathematics, Computer Science and Solid Mechanics. I have worked on a wide range of topics spanning numerical solvers, physics-informed machine learning, computer vision and data science.I hold a Ph.D. in Mechanics (CEE) and a MS in Computer Science (Scientific Machine Learning) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). My Ph.D. thesis was on the mathematical and computational modeling of fracture in viscoelastic solids. My MS thesis was in analyzing the optimization properties of Neural Operators. I am broadly interested in Machine Learning and its applications in accelerating scientific simulations.I also hold a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and a MS in Civil Engineering (with a concentration in Computational Science and Engineering) from UIUC.
