ABOUT BHASKER CHEPPELA

I am a Railway Signalling Engineer with 18 years of experience in delivering safety-critical Railway Signalling and Electronic Interlocking (EI) systems for Indian Railways. I have worked across all phases of EI implementation, including system configuration design, application logic development, simulation testing, field installation, site testing, commissioning, and customer training.I possess a strong understanding of Indian Railway signalling rules, standards, and circuit design principles, with hands-on experience in EI logic and interface circuit design and Block Working implementation within EI systems. My expertise spans new signalling works, alterations, and staged commissioning, ensuring safe and reliable railway operations.Currently, I am working as a KAVACH (Indian ATP) Design Lead, responsible for end-to-end system design, interface coordination, and compliance with RDSO and Indian Railway standards. I lead multidisciplinary design teams and actively support Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) activities, including safety documentation, hazard management, design reviews, and closure of safety observations.I have extensive experience in designing and checking Signalling Scale Plans, Selection Tables, Interface & Logic Schemes, EI hardware and power load calculations, and modification of existing designs. I am proficient in MicroStation, CADian, and AutoCAD, with a strong focus on design accuracy, safety assurance, and regulatory compliance.
