   As the corporate Head of HSE function having overall responsibility for implementation of safety, health and environment policy and procedures of EMAAR across all project sites. These duties include the following:• Periodic review of corporate HSE policy, procedures and guidelines to meet business need and facilitate it implementation across all functions of the company.• Prepare HSE budget.• Set HSE objective & target at corporate level.• Develop safety prequalification questionnaires and include it in PQ documents prior to bidding to screen the prospective bidders to make judgments as to the contractors’ potential to meet EMAAR safety expectations once on site.• Ensure incorporation of EMAAR safety guidelines in the tender documents before floating it to the prospective bidders in coordination with the contract cell.• Identify HSE training need and impart training to employees where relevant to enable them to fulfill their duties in accordance with the EMAAR safety, health and environment policy and guidelines.• Provide leadership and guidance to the team of safety professionals in the sites including contractor’s safety team.• Guide safety representatives at site in carrying out accident investigation, safety audits, training and other functions effectively.• Provide all necessary information about safety performance to Management as required.• Establish proper communication channel for dissemination of information and recommendations of accident investigation report.• Advise Project In-charges in proper planning and implementation of safety, health and environment standards at work site.• Participate in joint safety audit / safety walk with the senior management personal & members of project safety committee.• Provide an interaction platform to safety team members to share their thoughts, issues, challenges, concerns etc. and create a knowledge platform for safety, health and environment aspects.
