A journalist is not just a narrator, but a storyteller par excellence.\"As a journalist with 20+ years of reporting and editing experience, I knew that a good story is not just told in a dean pan manner, but made into a lively package by eminently engaging, and at times \"enraging\" story telling.My journalistic pedigree comes from serving popular dailies such as \"The New Indian Express\" and \"Deccan Chronicle,\" for a decade and more, and learning the craft to the hilt.While, I knew the \"pulse\" of reporting as a ground level reporter by working in different editions of the mainstream dailies, I have worked with, later on, I jumped jobs to assume the role of a news editor for a digital daily, where I edited, restructured and fine-tuned news/feature copies into gripping tales.Presently, as an independent journalist, I contribute to leading publications including \"Mongabay India,\"\"Times of India,\"\"First Post,\" and \"National Herald\".Academically, well-armed with a master\'s in English literature and a P.G. diploma in journalism and mass communication from reputed educational portals, including Madras Christian College, I have an abiding faith in the efficacy of journalism as an \"agent of social change,\" more so, for a developing nation like ours.I strongly believe that a journalist, still is the first person to \"bell the cat\" and he/she is the last one to turn away from any compromising truth.
