About Bharat A.
Bharat Kumar Agarwal is presently working as Dy. CE/Track Machines, Indian Railways. Before this, he served Indian Railways in different capacities, mostly strategic particularly in Northern Railways. Notable among those have been Sr Den/1/MB where he was overall in charge of the safety of prime sections such as Haridwar, Dehradun, Rishikesh, etc, and Aden/Najibabad, where he has commissioned various structures such as L.H.S. and bridges in record time. He was also awarded the Director General Gold Medal in Railways probationary training for his professional excellence.Bharat Agarwal firmly believes in \'Jack of all trades\' instead of \'Master of none.\' Having completed his Bachelor\'s in Civil Engineering, he opted to pursue a Masters from IIT Delhi despite having many offers from various Navratnas and Maharatna PSUs. Meanwhile, he also cracked the reputed UPSC-IES examination with All India Rank 3 and opted for Indian Railway Services. He has also qualified for GATE twice in 2012 and 2013 with AIR 63 and 66, respectively, and was selected in NITIE, Mumbai, for Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering.Bharat has also been selected for PhD in Structural Engineering from IIT Roorkee and has been awarded candidacy for the same. He has been the recipient of the Vice Chancellor\'s Gold Medal in his Undergraduate studies for his outstanding academic record and has been recommended for the ISTE Best Student Award.Apart from his academic excellence, he has excellent communication skills, both in verbal and written English. He has been actively involved in various extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. He is a fitness enthusiast and also an active gym goer. Bharat is an able leader whose interest lies in Operations and Management, his forte. He brings a bag of personal and professional experiences that help develop leaders among his peer group with a disciplined bureaucratic approach.
