Currently associated with Vedanta Ltd, Jharsuguda - Since Sep 2016.Roles & Responsibilities-• Procure-to-Pay Mode Procurement: Controlling all requisite activities to perform such as RFX, techno–commercial evaluation, negotiation, recommendation, ordering, inspection, expediting & tracking, logistic, delivery and timely payment processing.• Strategic Planning & Management: Strategic planning with expertise in implementing cost saving measures to achieve reduction in terms of procurement cost & ensuring timely availability of vital spares for the location.• Enterprise Resource Planning: Proficiency in Material Management Module of SAP S4 Hana and in SRM, E-auctions.• Costing of materials: Expertise in saving cost for high value procurement material which includes cost break up, validating prices of raw material involved, labor cost, machinery cost, process & technique cost, R&D cost, P&F and transportation cost, profit margins involved and finally landing to actual cost of the material using zero-based budgeting concept.• Business Development: Contributing to business goals of the organization by constant focus on cost reduction through strategic negotiation, alternate vendor development, reverse engineering & auction; achieving on time delivery of materials by constant follow up with suppliers; indigenization of imported items by means of developing local vendors.• Vendor Management and Development: Acting as single point contact for vendors, conducting vendor performance evaluation on basis of key factors such as percentage for rejections, quality improvement rate, on-time material delivery, ensuring feedback and encourage vendor improvement. • MIS: Developing reports on procurement. Forming reports including all the key performance indicators which include BP targets and actual performance of a team, savings, vendor engagement, material receipt and rejection.
