Graduate unemployment is not a result of inadequate education.It is the result of graduates entering the workforce without prior work experience.Over the last two decades, access to higher education has expanded rapidly. However, the transition from education to employment has not evolved at the same pace. As a result, large numbers of graduates complete their degrees without ever holding roles that required real accountability, measurable output, or professional responsibility.Employers increasingly expect experience at entry level not because graduates lack potential, but because hiring untested talent carries risk. This has led to delayed career starts, suppressed entry-level salaries, and widespread underemployment.This is not a skills problem.This is not a motivation problem.This is a system design problem.Experience begins too late.I am building a Work-Integrated Employment Pathway that embeds real, paid, accountable industry work into undergraduate education so students graduate with both a degree and a verified work history.The objective is structural, not short-term:Reduce fresher hiring risk for employersImprove post-graduation employment outcomesEnable earlier income and career stability for graduatesThis is not EdTech.This is not placement.This is not charity.It is a correction to when experience begins and how the workforce is prepared.Degrees certify learning.
