About Bhagirathi Panda
Currently teaching development economics, economics of North Eastern Region and contemporary economic issues to Ph.D. and MA students of NEHU. Was also on the faculty of IIM, Shillong and in that capacity designed and served courses for their MBA students in managerial and macro economics papers. Have extended policy support to Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India as members of expert committee on effective initiatives under MNREGA administration, working committee on capacity building in MGNREGA and expert committee to formulate research methodology for studies on various aspects of MGNREGA. Have also guided Fifteen Ph.D. and two M.Phil. research scholars and completed a number of research and policy projects for UNDP, Ministry of Rural Development, GOI,Ministry of External Affairs, GOI, V.V. Giri National Labour Institute and UGC, GOI.
