ABOUT BAHAREH GHAREHGOZLOU

I am an English-Persian (Farsi) translator, instructor, and author with over 15 years of professional experience in Iran and in the US. I hold a PhD in Translation Studies from Kent State University and a Masters in English Translation.After years of developing my own Farsi learning materials, I have recently published the first four books in my Farsi language series, “Bahareh Teaches Farsi”, together with my life partner Johnny Connors, the graphic designer and illustrator of the series. My books teach conversational Farsi in a simple, fun, and interactive way and are appropriate for both children and adult learners.I love teaching and introducing the rich language and culture of Iran to those who are interested. As a full-time educator working with many English-speaking learners of Farsi, I have realized the lack of learning resources for conversational Farsi. This has motivated me to contribute in this regard through publishing my own books and consistently creating engaging content on my social media platforms.In addition to teaching all levels of Farsi to both children and adults, I also provide lessons in Persian culture, poetry, and history. I love reading and memorizing Persian poems and I’m always happy to read some to my students at their request. I also love cooking Persian food and provide my recipes to my students.In addition to a never-ending passion for languages, I love and admire works of art. I have painted almost all of my life and have an art studio together with Johnny.
