About Brian Freeman

I am a Finance professional and MBA with experience at multiple companies including Cisco, EarthLink, Red Hat, and currently at Clubessential, primarily in business partnership, decision support roles, and FP & A management and reporting. The majority of my career has been supporting Software as a Service “SaaS” and subscription models. My “sweet spot” is growing and maturing companies and divisions of companies looking to expand and evolve their Finance function to make better, data-driven decisions.The most fulfilling part of my career has been partnering with professionals from executives to those on the front lines - going beyond just reporting the numbers to provide insight on performance and ways to improve their areas of responsibility. In particular, I have enjoyed the unique opportunity my prior roles have provided to roll up my sleeves and spend 1:1 time learning companies with the people who make them work from the bottom up and top down.In my free time, I’m a life-long golfer with a passion for the game, from junior golf days at the local muni, to competitively on my high school team, to club golf as an adult, and a world traveler to many of the cathedrals of the game. My handicap is not what it used to be in my younger days, but I still love the game and the opportunities it provides in building a healthy lifestyle and lasting relationships.

   I am currently the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP & A) leader for the Golf & Club Division at Clubessential Holdings, which consists of our Clubessential, foreUP, BlueGolf, and taskTracker brands. I manage budgeting, forecasting, and business analytics across our full P&L. As a member of the Golf & Club leadership team, I partner closely with our Division President, Controllers, and Heads of Sales, Operations, Marketing, Software Development, Product Management, and HR and their teams to help drive growth and profitability within the company.
