ABOUT BENJAMÍN FLORES PLATA

I have 28 years of experience, most of them within or related to the Mining & Metallurgical Industry. I was the Corporate Safety Manager & UG Mine Manager in Obras Mineras y Tiros del Centro (OMYTC) which is a Mining Contractor in Mexico that works for Fresnillo Plc, Peñoles, and other mining Groups. Peñoles, Grupo Mexico & First Majestic. Prior to my current job at, I led the Risk Operations Engineering of PYSIR as Director, before that I worked in AIG as Senior Loss Prevention of the Mining Business for LAC (having the opportunity to visit the mines to perform risk assesments of the following companies: Canada - Imperial Metals (Red Chris and Mount Polley), Suriname- Newmont (Merian Mine), Brazil - Kinross Gold (Paracatu Mine), Peru - Minsur, Mexico - AuraMinerals. I worked almost 10 years as Risk Manager for Peñoles & TorexGold and in the Insurance side with Chubb as Mining Loss Control Engineer. The other 10 years I was in the Planning Strategic & Valuations Project Area of Peñoles as Analyst and Manager respectively.During my career in Risk Management I participated in two new construction mining projects: Milpillas Copper Mine Project- Peñoles & El Limon Guajes Gold Mine- TorexGold. In the first project, in conjunction with the mining team managing the project we got the HPR certification from FM Global, in the second project I coordinate the safety during the construction until the commercial production having the opportunity to lead the Risk Management position.In my professional academic background additional to my MBA, I have obtained thefollowing Diplomas: Finance, Reengineering Process, Quality and the last an executive TopManagement Program.In my professional academic background additional to the #MBA, I have obtained several Diplomas: in Finance, Reengineering Process, Quality and a #Top Management Program.
