With over 30 years of experience in fundraising and advancement, I am passionate about developing high performing teams that raise millions of dollars for purpose-driven organizations. As the Chief Development Officer at HSHS St. John\'s Hospital, I lead 9 development operations of HSHS hospitals in Illinois, including Hospital Sisters Mission Outreach, a Medical Supply and Equipment Recovery Organization (MSRO). Additionally, I manage a high-capacity donor portfolio of 100 donors/prospects. My work involves leading philanthropic initiatives for the adult and children\'s service lines, including St. John\'s College of Nursing and St. John\'s Children\'s Hospital, a Children\'s Miracle Network Hospital. Manages and oversees major gift portfolio comprised of top 150 prospects. Coaches CEOs, senior leaders, physicians, department leaders, board members, community leaders and staff on the power of philanthropy and the correlation between grateful patients and philanthropic giving. Leads philanthropic initiatives for all adult service lines, St. John’s College of Nursing and St. John’s Children’s Hospital, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Key accomplishments from this role include having designed, implemented, and completed a $20M comprehensive campaign 14 months early without hiring outside counsel. Increased overall annual gift income by 176.5%. Implemented new giving strategies such as: physician engagement, grateful patient, workplace giving, guardian angel, prescription medication program for low income patients and a healing arts program. Raised philanthropic support to renovate and expand the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Healing Garden, College of Nursing scholarships and millions of dollars for equipment and programmatic initiatives.
