About Beverly C Bradshaw
Comrades N Community Inc, under my leadership for over two decades, has focused on celebrating longevity and fostering intergenerational respect through impactful events. Our signature initiative, the Women of Stamina Awards, honors women aged 80+ and showcases their life stories to inspire positive values. This program has earned recognition from local and global figures, including acknowledgments from President Barack Obama and Her Majesty the Queen of England. In 2021, we expanded our efforts to support educational diversity and honor one of the Women of Stamina\'s wishes regarding \"What can we do for the boys?\" by establishing the Kenneth J. Bradshaw Endowment Scholarship. This initiative provides scholarships for Shelby County high school students to attend the UT Knoxville College of Architecture + Design Summer Camp, promoting pathways into architecture. We also award summer design camp scholarships for inner city students to attend the AIA Summer Scholars Institute, and provide teen talks and workshops in the areas of construction technology, design, and the skilled trades. Our mission continues to center on community empowerment, senior advocacy, and fostering opportunities for the next generation.
