ABOUT BEVERLEY HEELEY
The decision to completely change my career was driven by a deep reflection on what truly matters to me; supporting others to feel seen, heard, and understood - both through and after challenging times.Now a Level 7 counsellor and psychotherapist, I work in secondary schools, private practice (trustingtherapy.co.uk), and was recruited as a self-employed therapist for one of the the county’s leading mental health charity.Creating a sense of safety is at the heart of my work - I believe meaningful therapeutic change begins with a space where clients feel genuinely accepted, supported and safe. I work with a diverse range of presentations, with a particular interest in suicidality, the effects of trauma, and neurodivergence. My therapeutic practice is deeply informed by over two decades of lived experience, which has shaped my ability to meet clients with empathy, authenticity, and respect. I bring a warm, relational, and grounded presence to my work, honouring the uniqueness of each person I support.
