ABOUT BEVERLEY GORDON
For several years I have been leading BrownBag Pictures, a company that I founded to create and distribute original and diverse content for film and television. As the CEO, I oversee all aspects of development, production, and post-production, as well as handle legal, contracts, licensing, and distribution matters. I have a strong background in both the creative and the business sides of the entertainment industry, with an MFA in Film/TV Producing from the American Film Institute and a JD in Entertainment and Sports Law from Tulane University Law School. I have worked in contracts management, and licensing, and distribution for International TV. I have produced several award-winning theatrical films and premium television shows, including for the Hallmark Mahogany franchise, which showcases stories of love and family from the African-American perspective. I am also passionate about mentoring and empowering the next generation of diverse and talented storytellers, and I serve as a board member and chair of the membership committee of the Southern California Chapter of NAMIC, a premier organization for multi-ethnic diversity in the communications industry.
