ABOUT BEVAN BROOKSBANK
Bevan Brooksbank maintains a broad commercial litigation practice with an emphasis on class proceedings. He has appeared before all levels of courts in Ontario, as well as professional disciplinary tribunals. Bevan graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009. His commercial litigation experience includes the litigation and arbitration of securities, shareholder and oppression disputes, and defence of class proceedings with an emphasis on the automotive sector. He has also successfully defended oppression remedy claims at trial. Bevan has particular expertise in pursuing, and responding to, claims for injunctive relief such as Mareva and Anton Pillar orders, and in representing companies in CCAA insolvency litigation.Bevan attended law school at Osgoode Hall, where he graduated in the top 10% of the 2008 class and received the prize for highest standing in restitution law.Bevan frequently authors articles published in legal academic journals, such as the Canadian Class Action Review, Class Action Defence Quarterly, Canadian Bar Review, and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Review.
