About Bettina Cataldi
At the age of five, I attended my first promotional event. Buried in the family archives is a photograph of myself posing alongside three news anchors for the \'Funniest Guitar Faces Competition\' segment. It’s fair to say I’ve grown up with PR on the brain. I began formally interning for my father’s PR firm, Cataldi PR, at the age of sixteen. From hours in the office to ideation sessions on road trips, I learned the ropes of creative writing, strategic media pitching and event planning. The summers following, I held internships at notable businesses including AMC Networks and DKC. While studying communications at the University of Vermont, I unearthed my passion for journalism. I began writing for the arts section of the Vermont Cynic my sophomore year, working my way through editorial roles and eventually writing longer-form features for the lifestyle section. I also continued writing during my semester abroad at Newcastle University, where I was able to reach an international audience with more candid articles about dating and local food reviews. Following my four incredible years in Vermont, I entered the PR agency setting as a professional, joining Finn Partners, where I worked on various accounts in the manufacturing and technology sector. After my wonderful experience with the Finn team, I ultimately decided to head back to where I began my journey - in the world of television, where I currently work as a Senior Manager of Publicity at CBS Media Ventures on Flip Side, Hot Bench, Inside Edition, The Drew Barrymore Show and Rachael Ray. I’m excited to continue utilizing my passion for lifestyle, music, and art to take me to higher grounds on my career path – whether it be as a publicist, writer, editor, reality star, or combination of all four.
