About Betsy Tao

I am passionate about driving transformation, innovation, diversity and inclusion, and improvement. I serve as the Chief of Staff for the VP Global Digital Services and lead operations for the Global Digital Services commercial team at Rockwell Automation. My responsibilities include overseeing daily team operations, managing the pipeline and forecast for Digital Services opportunities, and driving organizational strategy and alignment on digital transformation. I spent the previous 3.5 years as a consultant with Kalypso (now a Rockwell Automation business), helping clients in the Retail & Apparel and Food & Beverage industries transform their R&D processes and technology. I have my JD and MBA from Indiana University, and I am a member of the New York Bar. I volunteer with local Charlotte organizations advancing access to higher education, affordable housing, and community engagement and I practice calligraphy and am learning to garden.

   I serve as Chief of Staff and a strategic partner to George Young, VP Global Digital Services and lead commercial operations for the Global Digital Services team. I manage our full account portfolio, pipeline, and forecast for Digital Services commercial activities for Rockwell Automation and Kalypso. I support this team\'s growth from 2 to 50 sales and operations professionals through onboarding, establishing team structure, goal setting, compensation and incentives, ways of working, and metrics and reporting. I help develop the strategy and content for delivering demos and use cases to tangibly show the power and possibilities of digital transformation. I align broader sales teams and the Kalypso delivery team on global pursuits through internal connects, content development, metrics & financial analysis, and client engagements.
