About Betsy Moyer

Betsy Moyer is an interior designer and community-builder whose work sits at the intersection of marketing, tech, and home. She has spent more than two decades helping brands tell their stories through design, technology, and meaningful human connection.Her career in digital media includes leadership roles at KCRW (NPR Los Angeles), The Design People, The Hickory Museum of Art, and Buildlane, where she has guided brand development, user experience, and digital storytelling across web and mobile. Managing large-scale digital projects required her deep understanding of how people interact with systems. Her involvement with custom furniture development at Buildlane and Jaxon strengthened her grasp of how creativity, technology, and production can unite to serve the design trade.A lifelong creative with an entrepreneurial edge, Betsy co-founded The Estate of Things(TEOT), a nationally recognized interior design brand celebrated for its blend of vintage charm and modern sensibility. Through TEOT’s design blog and retail storefront, she helped pioneer early digital-to-physical retail storytelling in the home industry. She also co-developed Blissfield Acres, an eleven-home neighborhood project in North Carolina, serving as creative director and investor. Her work in short-term rental experiential design connects her passion for place-making with her background in branding and systems design. Betsy holds a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is completing her Master’s in Interior Architecture & Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.After a stage four cancer diagnosis, Betsy moved to Santa Barbara and redirected her focus toward work that prioritizes wellness, purpose, and community. She founded GOOD COMPANY SB, a design studio and social club that unites homeowners, trade professionals, and families around a shared mission: to make home life beautiful, functional, safe, and connected.Beyond design, Betsy is a singer in the dream-pop band Luxembourg Signal, an advocate for Miry’s List and The Exodus Road, and serves on the boards of the Ndifo Community Foundation and Peabody Charter Foundation. She lives in a wild Santa Barbara canyon with her husband, their daughter, a pack of pets, and, when they’re home from college, her grown stepkids.
