About Betsy Chen

I’m a Marketing major with a minor in Communication Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, passionate about blending creativity, strategy, and storytelling to build meaningful connections between people and brands.Through my role as the Design Chair for the Chinese Student Association, I’ve developed hands-on experience in visual design, social media marketing, and event promotion—skills that have strengthened my ability to communicate effectively and think strategically about audience engagement.I’m particularly interested in marketing strategy, digital media, and brand development, and I enjoy exploring how design and communication can work together to inspire action. I’m eager to continue growing my experience through internships and projects that challenge me to apply creative thinking to real-world marketing solutions.Outside of academics, I enjoy collaborating with others, learning new design tools, and finding creative ways to tell stories that make an impact.

   Chinese Undergraduate Student Association At Unc Charlotte

   Aug 2023 — Present

   As Design Chair for the Chinese Student Association (CUSA), I lead the creative direction and visual branding for the organization. I design promotional materials—including event flyers, social media graphics, and merchandise—that capture the spirit of our community and engage both members and the broader campus audience. Working closely with the executive board, I ensure our designs align with CUSA’s mission to celebrate Chinese culture and foster inclusivity through creative storytelling and visual communication.
