   In this role, I create clear and consistent communications and marketing to support program areas including membership, fundraising, awards, publications/website, events, and advocacy. I serve as the resident communications expert providing guidance to PAA staff, committees and contractors on how effectively communicate to our audience using a variety of channels including web, email, social media and private virtual community. I am responsible for developing and executing plans for membership recruitment, retention, and engagement including invoicing, database maintenance, and reporting. Also work on implementing activities to build PAA’s members-only online community, hosted by Higher Logic. I also serve as the main staff contact for the management of sister organizations Association of Population Centers and Association of Public Data Users, and communications for the Society of Labor Economists.Successes include, implementing the association\'s first successful Giving Tuesday campaign raising $16K from grassroots donors. Converted member newsletter from a static quarterly product to a blog with weekly updates. This change improved member engagement, garnering a ~65% open rate and a 19% clickthrough rate. Ideated and introduced a communications and rebranding strategy that grew engagement and reach. This included a main website redesign, 2 new website launches, an advertising package ($2K in annual revenue), a profit-sharing job board ($6K+ in annual non-dues revenue), and social media reach growth.
