LEADERSHIP: Promoted and entrusted to lead the day-to-day operations and legal functions for DaVita’s domestic businesses. Direct 300+ person legal department with 130 attorneys, 50 paralegals, 40 administrative assistants, and ~ 90 additional professionals. Serve as second in command for the Enterprise Legal Team with broad authority. PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS : Regulatory / Health Care Compliance: Serve as lead enterprise healthcare attorney. Worked to implement DaVita’s 5 year Corporate Integrity Agreement. Worked through multiple self-disclosures. Operations & Contracting: Field Operations Legal Support, spanning agreements for ~$10B in operations, and navigated through Pandemic/Public Health Emergency, CARES ACT, supply, and staffing shortage issues. Major Vendor/Product Agreements: Negotiated pharma supply agreements over $350M in value. Subsidiary Businesses: Led Legal Support and Strategy for subsidiary businesses, including Integrated Care businesses, laboratories, clinical research. Directed the sale of two subsidiaries. Transactions, M&A, & JV: 70+ internal JV transactions, acquisitions, divestitures annually. Direct external M&A transactions of sizes ranging from thousands to billions of dollars. Securities: Served on the Enterprise Securities Disclosure Committee and reviewed & edited scheduled public filing documents. Assisted with bond financing, stock buyback and re-financing diligence. Clinical IT Empowerment: Supported Clinical IT teams, developing clinical IT systems, and utilizing purchased services and systems. Data Governance & E-Discovery: Multi-million dollar savings through Data Governance Team and initiatives, including implementing new analytics and tools. Mission & Values: Leader on Enterprise Women’s Leadership Group, including participation in national programs focused on women leadership. Hosted a domestic and international virtual retreat for Legal Department.
