I have extensive experience representing small to midsize biotechnology companies in myriad aspects of IP law, including patent portfolio management, trade secret strategies, freedom to operate, licensing, IP diligence, partnering deals, and financings. I have also supported non-district court-related patent challenges including interferences, inter-partes reexaminations, and inter-partes reviews. While I have spent most of my legal career in private practice, in August of 2019 I went in-house joining a long-time client with an exceptional scientific team and distinctive platform technologies. I currently support IP operations for the Bay Area Institute of Altos Labs. Aside from practicing law, I am an enthusiastic amateur musician. I have played the bassoon since childhood and started out as a music major at the University of Michigan. I perform in a local community orchestra in the bay area. I am looking to improve my visibility in the bay area music community and am especially open to opportunities to play chamber music.
