Betsy Cohen has a passion for both business and fashion. As the Founder of ZOPHIA, a bespoke pencil skirt service in Washington, D.C, Betsy embarked on her entrepreneurial journey after completing her Master\'s in Business Management in 2010. Betsy\'s journey took an unexpected turn after the pandemic hit, leading to the closure of ZOPHIA. Undeterred by this setback, she pivoted and focused on other aspects of her life. Transitioning to part-time work, Betsy prioritized starting a family while also exploring new avenues for her professional growth. Her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to professional development continue to drive her forward as she embraces the next chapter in her journey.With a background that spans across various sectors, including education and business, Betsy brings a wealth of experience to the table. From her role as an Operations Manager at Garcete Construction, where she managed finances, facilitated communication, and enhanced productivity through streamlined office procedures, to her time as a Bilingual Art Instructor at Sacred Heart Bilingual School, where she fostered creativity and cultural understanding through visual arts education, Betsy has demonstrated versatility and adaptability.Before her entrepreneurial pursuits, Betsy served as an Administrative Assistant to the Director at The Catholic University of America. In this capacity, she provided executive-level support, managed accounting activities, and developed efficient office procedures, showcasing her organizational skills and attention to detail.Throughout her career, Betsy has remained dedicated to advocating for women in business and promoting sustainable fashion practices.
