ABOUT BETRO SADEK

Dr. Betro Sadek earned his medical degree from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. He completed his internship, then joined Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School as a Research Fellow, and then was promoted to Instructor at Harvard Medical School with numerous publications and more than 980 citations. He completed his residency at Mercy Health in Ohio in Family Medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, and Society of Hospital Medicine, and a practicing adult hospitalist. He earned the added qualification of “Designation of Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine” from the American Board of Family Practice with over 12 years of experience. Furthermore, he achieved Certified Physician Executive Certification (CPE) from the American Association of Physician Leadership, and currently serves as PeeDee/ Midlands Chapter President for SHM.Dr. Sadek is a well-versed hospitalist with a great passion for clinical quality improvement and informatics. His focus is to prevent errors, standardize care, and promote higher quality standards by improving the health care delivery systems.He worked as a clinical quality manager and informaticist. And Director of Clinical Informatics. He successfully led the team to achieve unprecedented quality improvement goals for multiple projects.His passion for clinical informatics is remarkable; he has more than 8 years of experience working as a physician informatician and a physician builder. Moreover, he received Board certification in Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventive Medicine. Furthermore, he serves as a board member for Epic Systems Corporation’s hospitalist steering committee and was appointed as the Board chair. He currently serves as a board member for SC HIMSS.
