Senior Executive | Capital Markets & Strategic Advisory Professional** Experienced senior executive and capital markets professional with an extensive track record advising on public and private capital raising, risk management, and regulatory and disclosure compliance. I currently provide independent **Capital Markets and Strategic Advisory services** to capital markets and adjacent companies, business owners, issuers, and shareholders. My practice focuses on areas including capital raising, divestitures, business process reviews and audits, training, and end-to-end deal management services for independent investment dealers. Most recently, I served as **Head of Equity Capital Markets** at a leading independent investment dealer, and prior to that, as **Head of Equity Capital Markets & Operations** at Desjardins Securities — a subsidiary of Canada’s largest financial cooperative. In these roles, I was responsible for managing equity offerings for Canadian, U.S, and international companies. As a core member of the executive team, I helped shape and execute firm strategy, providing leadership and vision while supporting the growth of institutional and investment banking operations. I also served as **Chair of the New Business & Underwriting Committees**,**Chair of the Capital Markets Operations Committee**,**member of the Advisory Committee**, and **member of the U.S. Compliance Committee**. From **October 2019 to May 2023**, I served on the **Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) Ontario District Council**, contributing to both its regulatory and advisory mandates (now the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization “CIRO”). This included reviewing regional approval and membership matters, advising on regional industry issues, and providing input on national policy from a regional perspective. I am a long-time member and volunteer with **Women in Capital Markets (now VersaFi)**, originally a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in the capital markets industry. VersaFi has since evolved into a leading force for gender equity, driving progress through research, advocacy, and professional development across finance — from sell side to buy side, fintech, and related sectors.
