The Loretto Community, founded in 1812 as the Sisters of Loretto, has always been a cutting-edge Catholic voice for justice. Traditionally a teaching order focused on education for women and girls, Loretto has expanded into the fields of healthcare, elder care, Earth care and advocacy. Our work at the UN focuses on rights for Indigenous peoples, immigrants, girls / women, and Earth itself.
