ABOUT BETHANY HILL
I advise organisations across technology, media, and other regulated industries on data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance. I help teams navigate complex obligations, from data governance and digital transformation projects to AI initiatives, responding to data subject rights requests, and engaging with regulators.I have experience acting in high-profile privacy and data protection disputes, including RTM v Bonne Terre & Hestview (currently before the Court of Appeal) and Noel Clarke v Guardian. This litigation experience gives me a strategic perspective, allowing me to anticipate compliance challenges before they escalate and to advise clients on managing risk and avoiding disputes.I have also gained in-house experience through a secondment, supporting digital transformation and data protection initiatives and providing practical guidance to cross-functional teams. I am a qualified PDP data protection practitioner. My work sits at the intersection of privacy, technology, and wider regulatory frameworks, enabling me to provide commercially minded, practical advice where legal compliance meets product and business objectives.I trained at Wiggin, gaining broad experience across the firm’s key practice areas and sectors, which has given me a rounded perspective on the legal and commercial issues clients face. My background in music also provides additional insight into the creative industries I advise.
