I co-lead the Marine Protected Areas Team at JNCC and head up our work on the Ocean Country Partnership Programme\'s Marine Pollution Emergency Response theme. We provide technical assistance to support countries to establish designated, well-managed and enforced MPAs and increase their capabilities to respond to marine pollution emergency incidents.

Throughout my career, I have worked within Scottish and UK Government agencies, leading initiatives in protected area designation, environmental impact assessment, and the consenting and licensing of major energy infrastructure projects. My expertise extends to responding to marine pollution incidents both domestically and internationally.Currently, I lead a team of specialists at JNCC providing environmental information and strategic advice to marine industries worldwide.
