About Bethanie Stauffer

As a recent graduate from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Chemistry and Medicine, Health, and Society (MHS), I am a detail-oriented and driven individual. I earned departmental honors in Chemistry while graduating summa cum laude and demonstrated an overall commitment to excellence throughout my academic career. With two years of undergraduate research experience, I possess excellent problem-solving and laboratory skills. I have several years of tutoring experience across multiple settings, subjects, and age groups, which has honed my communication and interpersonal skills, enabling me to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. I continue to expand my technical skills through online courses and trainings. In my current position, I work to address and rectify the systemic inequalities and injustices that arise from environmental issues. Through the wealth of environmental data available from various EPA projects, I research ways to target communities being disproportionally impacted by pollution, ensuring that our most vulnerable populations receive the resources they need. I believe that marginalized communities must have a voice in environmental decision-making, and I strive for a sustainable future where all individuals, regardless of their background, can enjoy a clean and healthy environment.
