About Beth Mueller

I am a tax partner at Deloitte, with 25+ years of experience in serving the tax needs of multinational companies. I advise tax departments as they evolve or transform their strategy and operations, working closely to achieve organizational goals. I work in subject areas ranging from accounting for income taxes, tax compliance, domestic and international acquisitions and restructurings, and tax planning matters. My goal is to bring a hands-on and practical approach to driving an effective tax function. I am excited about the impact of Transformation and Innovation on our profession and our careers. I lead Innovation for Deloitte\'s Business Tax Services practice as well as expanding use of Artificial Intelligence in Tax. I seek new ways to solve challenging tax issues for both our clients and our firm. I previously established and led Deloitte’s Tax Analytics Insights practice, enabling clients’ use of analytics to change the way tax departments are managed. I was the former leader of Deloitte’s US Inbound tax practice. In this role, I established the strategy for driving work with non-U.S. headquartered companies, ensuring seamless delivery of all U.S. tax offerings and teaming with Deloitte’s offices around the globe and capturing understanding unique challenges for this market segment. I continue to serve Inbound companies in areas ranging from tax provision and compliance to planning and structuring. Increasing access to the accounting field for more professionals and future leaders is a passion of mine. I\'m involved with Deloitte\'s MADE commitment, Making Accounting Diverse & Equitable, and other areas of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts. I am active in the nonprofit community, serving on the Boards for the Southern Illinois University Foundation, the Pontikes Center for Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, and the University of Illinois-Deloitte Foundation Center for Business Analytics. I am past Chair of the Board of Advisors for Ladder Up, an organization dedicated to providing financial services to Chicago families living below the poverty line. I\'m proud to have received the 2010 Illinois Most Powerful and Influential Women award from the National Diversity Council. Ask me about.
