About Beth Zhang
I’m passionate about helping schools create joyful, rigorous learning experiences that build both a deep understanding and confidence.Throughout my career, I’ve guided teams and school systems toward ambitious academic goals. As Co-President of Lavinia Group, I lead a nationally dispersed team supporting more than 750 schools with best-in-class math and literacy curriculum, professional learning, summer school, and strategic planning. A recent study of Lavinia Group\'s work in NYC charter schools between 2016 and 2024 showed that schools partnering with Lavinia Group saw approximately 14-point gains in literacy and 19-point gains in math after two years. Earlier in my career, I directed mathematics strategy for a network of 40+ high-performing charter schools that consistently ranked in the top 1% statewide in math achievement. A former Teach for America corps member and special education teacher in Brooklyn, I remain deeply committed to ensuring every student—regardless of background—has access to great teaching and a great education.
