As EVP of BrightStar Leadership Consulting, I have the great pleasure of providing executive and senior leadership coaching, consulting, and workshop facilitation services to leaders and teams in global and national organizations. My areas of expertise include- Emotional Intelligence - Communication Skills - Leader as coach - Executive Presence - Assessment for development of leaders and teams - Team effectiveness - Workshop design and faciltation I have worked with leaders and teams for over 20 years in a wide variety of organizations such as Microsoft; GE; American Airlines; Mayo Clinic; Centers for Disease Control; LifePoint Health; AT & T; Ingersoll Rand; T. Rowe Price; Kaiser Permanente; Save the Children; WestRock; Cox Communications, and many others. My experiences as a leader in organizations, a licensed psychotherapist, and a leadership development specialist allow me to offer my clients a unique blend of business knowledge and an understanding of human dynamics. I have a particular passion for helping leaders with the people side of leadership. In addition, my experience as a member of the Ohio State women’s varsity basketball team and other college sports forged a powerful understanding of what is required for both individual and team excellence and the importance of accountability to oneself and others. Philosophically, I believe that leaders and their teams are inherently creative and resourceful. I also believe that a systems perspective is essential, to help clients have an understanding of the impact of the context in which they work, and to successfully navigate those opportunities and challenges. My approach also focuses on personal energy management and self-care as integral components of leadership and personal success. My clients would describe me as knowledgeable, experienced, supportive, fully present, practical, forthright, positive, and appropriately humorous. I have a Master\'s Degree in Social Work from University of Georgia with a focus on clinical skills and human development. My undergraduate degree is from the Ohio State University. I\'m a member of Alexcel, an international alliance of highly experienced consultants and executive coaches. My free time is spent with family and friends, riding my bicycle, barbell lifting, yoga, travel, listening to music, and contemplating re-learning to play the guitar.
