ABOUT BETH PARGETER-TAKHAR
I’m a Doctoral Researcher in Education at the University of Hertfordshire, funded by a PhD scholarship. My research explores how headteachers navigate growing pressures around wellbeing and social justice, and what this means for schools, policy, and practice. Alongside my doctorate, I’m Head of Business Development and an Associate Assistant Educational Psychologist at Brimstone Psychology. My work focuses on supporting schools and organisations with wellbeing, inclusion, and system-level change. I’ve worked across both mainstream and specialist education, including roles as a Teaching Assistant and SEND Lead, and I regularly deliver training in EDI and psychoeducation. I hold an MSc in Educational Neuroscience (UCL IOE) and a BSc in Psychology (UEA). I’m particularly interested in bridging research and practice, and in supporting schools to create environments where both staff and students can genuinely thrive. Always happy to connect with others working in education, research, or policy; especially those interested in equity, wellbeing, and meaningful change.
