About Beth Goldstein
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies at Texas Tech University in August 2006. I was honored to have made the Dean’s List during my time there. My course work included: Human Development Cross Cultural Perspectives, Lifespan Human Development, Theories of Human Development, Family Dynamics of Addiction, Addiction in Relationships, and Substance Abuse Prevention.I have been working in the Substance Abuse field for three years and have close to 2500 documented hours toward my LCDC Internship. My experience includes Detox, Intensive Outpatient Treatment, and Residential/Outpatient Therapeutic Community for clients coming from SAFPF through TDCJ. In each of these programs I completed intakes, assessments, treatment planning, aftercare planning, and discharge plans and summaries. I am able to form positive working relationships with outside agencies (and especially worked closely with Parole and Probation officers) so that clients can be connected to appropriate referrals in an efficient manner.My personal objective is to provide quality counseling services to substance abuse and mental health clients in a progressive chemical dependency treatment center.
