I have a wealth of experience within this area. I have managed these difficult and complex situations working with Police and other professionals. I have developed policy, procedures and training in Child Sexual Exploitation and violence against women and girls. My expertise in post trauma had defined what I do. I offer therapy for those suffering PTSD, and assist their families and professionals to understand and assist in the journey to wellness.We know that any abuse can have devastating effects that impact emotionally, psychologically, physically and socially. Fear immobilises and has a direct impact on relationships and quality of life.The outcomes for these young children were very poor; in prison, involved in prostitution, poor relationships, often involving domestic violence or sexual exploitation. Alcohol, poor relationships, self harm and drug issues were commonThe rise of the \'boyfriend model\' to select girls to be sexually exploited by groups of men has made the whole landscape of abuse more complex. All abuse involves fear, low self worth and self esteem, fear, guilt, self hatred, shame When someone feels fear; the fight or flight response is activated. adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisol are released into the blood stream. Overtime the fight and flight hormones reduces our \'feel good\' hormones so many turn to alcohol or drugs to self medicate. Fear immobilises and impacts globally. It is critical that training, support and therapy are available for deep trauma.
