ABOUT BERTRAM ZIMMERMANN

I’m Bertram – an experienced professional at the intersection of technology, music, and organization. What drives me is curiosity. What sets me apart is a fine instinct – for sound, for people, for structures. From an early age, I learned what it means to collaborate as part of various music ensembles. My musical journey led me through classical training, jazz, pop, and rock – and eventually to the mixing console. That’s where my second career began: in audio engineering, which has never been just about technology for me, but always about translation – between artists and audiences, between ideas and impact. I look forward without losing my head. I’m creative without losing sight of what’s feasible. My thinking is systemic, my actions are empathetic. I don’t just hear well – I listen closely. For over two decades, I have supported national and international productions – as a Monitor Engineer, FoH Engineer, system technician, or planner. I’ve been there when tens of thousands sang in a stadium. I’ve ensured the sound was right at climate conferences. And I’ve learned that even in the most chaotic situations, calm, structure, and humanity matter. One thing’s certain: work with me is never boring. I’m the one who brings clarity to ambiguity, who knows how to inspire people – and who drives new ideas while others are still stuck in processes. Today, I work as a product portfolio manager at Sennheiser. I love to be where I can help shape the future – with foresight, with impact, and with a keen ear for what truly matters.
