As a leader with experience working for some of the globe’s largest defense contractors and a former decorated member of the U.S. Army Reserves and New Mexico National Guard, I bring a combination of precision, communication, and coordination to achieve operational continuity and excellence in high-stakes environments. With experience spanning project management, program oversight, planning, and system engineering, I believe that the human components of our initiatives are just as important as the technical. Always striving for optimal performance at the individual, team, and organizational levels, I enjoy creating connections with stakeholders that enable us to achieve shared goals. Examples of my value and impact: Streamlined training and onboarding for new government leaders to drive continuity of operations at within Data Processing and the Rapid Response Operations Center. Took on large projects as a contractor through SAIC and Raytheon, including directing logistics for 65+ specialized engineering studies and serving as the conduit between the customer, senior leaders, and my firm. Earned formal recognition for planning and executing a first-of-its-kind engineering study conference that convened 100+ attendees from government agencies and contracting firms nationwide. Completed five years as an enlisted soldier and six as an officer, including during a 12-month deployment in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba where I oversaw operational readiness for a 60-member team. I earned three certifications within an Operations, Planning and Support setting, each of which allowed me to expand my skill set and increase my contributions to important work. Always ready to solve sticky work issues or technical challenges, I am the go-to person when my teams and colleagues need guidance. Protecting our national security is certainly not a stress-free endeavor, but I believe that creating a supportive, high-communication work environment is paramount in our ability to sustain operational continuity and harness the full power of technology.
