Bernie is no stranger to building businesses, as an equity partner and director of technology at Calgary Telecom, Bernie implemented Voice over IP Technologies (IVR/PBX solutions) and created a solution for the complex billing requirements of using multiple service providers - the technology developed was later sold to VoEX and then Alcatel.Bernie was also involved with World Wide Learn’s expansion, a 3 person company with $1M per year revenues, and after Bernie’s enhancement to their technology the company was able to generate $12M in revenue just a year later.A key member at Neteller, an online payment transfer provider, Bernie was an early employee helping the company grow to from 96 to over staff members. Bernie was involved throughout the development process of Neteller’s Identity verification services (IVS) solution. Neteller’s high performance and high stability environment was a critical factor to the company’s success, with downtime costing approximately per minute.
