ABOUT BERNIE COLSON

After approximately 20 years as an investor and sell-side research analyst, I transitioned to being a corporate executive focused on finance, corporate development, capital markets and investor relations. I am now seeking a role as Chief Financial Officer or a CFO-track finance department role. I\'ve evolved from an expert on electric utilities and midstream energy infrastructure to focus on the future energy landscape. I’ve invested in and written research on wind & solar power, the entire lithium-ion battery supply chain, hydrogen fuel cells, renewable liquid fuels such as renewable diesel and SAF, advanced materials, and electric vehicles. Finance & Capital Markets Executive: Blend analytical rigor, investment instincts, and team-building with relationship-building, marketing, and communications prowess. Having headed up corporate development, sustainability, and investor relations at public companies, I am ready to take the step up to CFO where I can bring all my experience together to drive value. Strategic Partner and Trusted Advisor: Recognized as a strategic C-suite and board partner, leveraging expertise in the energy industry, capital markets, and the investor mindset to help inform corporate strategy by recognizing the difference between secular and cyclical shifts in the business landscape. Team Builder, Coach, and Mentor: Lead by example to earn trust and motivate team members to achieve company goals without micromanaging. Focus on maximizing value through cross-functional collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders and by cultivating top talent. Ability to influence others regardless of position in the organizational chart. External Relationship Builder: Extensive experience leading sell-side equity research teams where analysts live or die by the ability to forge strong relationships with the world’s most successful investors through persistent marketing of thought-provoking research. This experience has translated to an ability to build and maintain relationships with lenders, investment bankers, and insurers.
