ABOUT BERNARD TERNOWSKI
NCSO with over 13 years experience in Oil and Gas. In my years I have a proven track record of reducing incident rates, injury time, and productivity losses. I believe that through coaching, mentoring, and a proactive approach to Safety the reduction of risk, accidents, and incidents can be achieved. My goal is to make the workplace a safe environment for all workers, company personnel, clients, and stakeholders. Currently, I am focusing on Covid-19 Compliance and Safety. Through the years I have worked throughout Alberta and the NWT. Companies included EllisDon at NWR, PME at Surmont 2 and with with Westways Group at IOL Edmonton/Regional Distribution Center. Worked under contract to Enbridge Pipelines on various projects throughout Alberta and the NWT. Previously, with Pillar Oilfield Projects for Husky Energy and Pembina Pipelines Corporation, Westways Group as a Site Safety Coordinator. Experienced on Oil Sands Projects around Ft. McMurray, Conklin, Ft. Saskatchewan and Edmonton. Experience includes working at Cenovus Christina Lake, Suncor, Shell MRM Jackpine Expansion, Imperial Oil Ltd. Strathcoma HF Alkylation Unit, Shell Scotford UEx 1 as HSE Team Lead. Shell Albian Sands Client HSE Coordinator Nights, Albian Sands Winter Drilling Program 2009, as well as Petro Canada Edmonton RCP as a Safety Officer. Undergone orientations recently with NWR (North West Redwater Partnership) and TR (Tecnicas Reunidas), as well as past Enbridge, Pembina Pipelines, Inter Pipeline Ltd, Stantec, Petro Canada, Syncrude, Shell Scottsford, Albian Sands, Jackpine, Suncor, Imperial Oil, Cenovus CL. Inspection and identifying unsafe conditions, conducting Safety Meetings, JSA development, field observations, monitoring Contractors for safety policies and procedures, investigation, corrective measures, reporting, as well as ensuring adherence to owner client safety standards, guidelines and processes. Promoting a positive Safety Environment and Culture with the ultimate goal being that of \"Goal Zero\".
