ABOUT BERNARD CREAMER

Highly experienced Assistant Principal and School Administrator, specializing in cultural development, with extensive background in social science and sociology. Bernard has proven skills in interpersonal leadership and community collaboration. He has had oversight for multiple departments, while also managing large budgets and resources. In addition to administration and classroom instruction experience, he has spearheaded new and innovative initiatives to improve academic performance, as well as implemented new policies and procedures to ensure mission achievement. He is a take-charge leader with a true passion for social, cognitive, and academic growth of youth and a demonstrated ability to train and develop teachers within the community and academic setting. Raised in Chicago, Bernard is passionate about advocating for and cultivating urban youth in underrepresented communities. His talents have served communities in Chicago, Dallas and Washington D.C. through a series of administrator and teaching career moves. In addition to his education experience, he believes in giving back to the community and most recently spearheaded development the program Golf, My Future, My Game at Langston Golf Course in Washington, D.C. to expose urban youth to the game of golf through caddying. He has authored a series of books focused on teaching youth of color historically accurate facts and has authored a book on how the music industry has negatively impacted perceptions of communities of color. He is the owner of Status KNO, a t-shirt business, focused on historically accurate images of people of color and he regularly facilitates workshops on the subject of media literacy with an emphasis on the changing paradigm within the music genre, Hip Hop.
