ABOUT BERNADETTE L.

Bernadette Lim, MBA, is an Associate Director for R&D Program Management at Astellas Pharma Inc. leading the design and execution of cross-functional, global strategic initiatives that accelerate speed, improve quality, reduce costs, and maximize value in support of the organization’s short- and long-term goals. Working as part of a global team, she provides expertise in strategy, advisory, and portfolio operations to drive transformation across R&D and advance the delivery of innovative medicines to patients. Bernadette also serves as an Assistant Professor and adjunct faculty member at the Parkinson’s School of Health Sciences and Public Health at Loyola University Chicago. Before joining Astellas Pharma Inc. in Oct 2022, Bernadette held various operations management roles at the American Medical Association. Over the course of 8+ years, Bernadette was Senior Manager of Digital Health, Program Manager of Practice Transformation and Physician Burnout, and Program Administrator at the AMA Foundation. Bernadette received her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Health Care Management at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Systems Management at Loyola University Chicago’s Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing. Since 2018, Bernadette has served on the External Advisory Board for the Loyola University Chicago Parkinson School of Health Sciences & Public Health. Bernadette was the inaugural recipient of the Loyola University Chicago Emerging Leader Award in 2019, which recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the healthcare administration profession and provides services to promote the growth of the Loyola Health Care Administration program.
