ABOUT BERNADETTE HOMER MCIEH

With over 5 years of experience in risk and compliance roles in the hospitality industry, I am a food safety leader and trainer who is passionate about people and quality. I currently work as a Risk and Compliance Business Partner at Côte Restaurants, a leading French brasserie chain with over 90 locations across the UK.In this role, I support the operations team in ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff, as well as maintaining the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. I am responsible for developing and implementing HACCP and FSMS, conducting compliance audits, devising and revising risk assessments, and delivering engaging and effective training programs for all levels of staff. I also collaborate with external stakeholders, such as local authorities, suppliers, and pest control providers, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. My goal is to make food safety and compliance a fun and rewarding topic to learn, lead, and drive.
