I am currently working as a performance engineer at NetApp. I am involved in the end-to-end performance of new platforms. Background:Berkin did his Postdoctoral Research in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at Northwestern University. I have received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering at Northwestern University. I have been advised by Professor Alok Choudhary and co-advised by Professor Gokhan Memik. I have received my B.S. degree in Computer Engineering at Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey.Research Interests:Berkin\'s research interests are in the areas of High-Performance Data Mining, and Parallel and Distributed Computing. During his PhD studies Berkin has worked on analysis, and acceleration of parallel data mining applications and use of these statistical methods and machine learning to solve challenging problems.Specialties: Methodologies: Parallel programming, object oriented programming, simulation, performance analysis.
