ABOUT BERGEN JAMES

I\'m an operations and value creation executive with 25 years of experience building the infrastructure that lets complex, multi-entity organizations scale. My career has been defined by post-acquisition integration, financial infrastructure buildout, and enterprise systems adoption across retail, restaurants, and technology. At Ascena/Justice, I led the post-acquisition integration of Dressbarn, Maurices, and Justice, building the common financial platform, unified chart of accounts, and shared services function that turned three separate organizations into one functioning enterprise. At Red Robin, I repurposed approximately annual hours through reporting transformation, enabled $6M in monthly transactional capacity through electronic-tip/earned wage access deployment, and drove enterprise-wide change across a 500-unit system with team members. The through-line in my work is translating strategic intent into systems, adoption, and measurable EBITDA impact. I\'m most effective in environments where growth or M&A has created complexity that needs to become operational capability. I\'m particularly drawn to portfolio environments where disciplined operational alignment can unlock margin expansion and exit value.
